I was without an internet connection yesterday, and it felt like a long time. It was only one day! I love and despise computers. =P I'm still trying to decide if I want to take my laptop along to Colorado.... There should be a computer there for students to check email and stuff, and mine only feels like one more thing on my list at this point. Hm. Pros and cons, pros and cons.

ReplyDeletefor what it's worth, i have a friend who was a dts trainer and she said she was very glad to have her laptop during training. it came in handy for classes and for times when she just needed that link to the "outside". she also said that she took it on outreach and it was stolen. sooo..
i would think that it might come in handy, but also think that on outreach it might be a bit of a burden, plus may even take away from the experience. but that is just my 2 cents. (plus a couple of borrowed cents, heheh)

ReplyDeleteI read there would be a small fee for WiFi, so I'm not sure if I'd use that, but I think my laptop still might come in handy. In any case, I bought a case for it today so it will be ready. I don't plan to bring it on outreach. ;)
