While I don't encourage talking to imaginary friends, you don't have to be crazy to do it. Sharing personal, inner thoughts with another human; now
there's a crazy idea! But seriously, people talk to animals all the time, and animals certainly can't comprehend what we say.* They are sensitive to our moods however, and that counts for something. (It counts for a lot, actually. I'm reminded of those horse ranches that minister to troubled and disabled children. Some really neat stories come out of those places.)
*Edit: Aside from Balaam's donkey. =P
